How have you risen to the challenges of COVID-19: Our business did not skip a beat! We were here for our agents and clients utilizing numerous virtual tools. We followed the CDC Guidelines and kept our agents totally informed on the various protocols.
On a personal note, these Coldwell Banker "Women in Business” collectively shared some of their personal interests including the value placed on family and friends, the importance of staying active, and volunteering in the community. You may even see one or more of these ladies on a bicycle, yoga mat, fishing boat, or even a karaoke stage.
Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty/Lake Country has been under single ownership for the past ten years. It was formed through the acquisition and blending of three different real estate brokerages into one during the difficult times during the last recession. During their first year, the company never lost an agent, grew to nearly twice its original size and has been number one in the market since opening their doors in January of 2011.
The staff grew organically on a need basis from one to four with the newest member coming on board nearly 7 years ago. One of the four, Shauna von Hanstein, when asked why the company is so unique in this transient rural environment simply said, “We genuinely really like each other and our agents! We take pride in creatively helping them be successful, are an integral part of the team and decision-making process, have total flexibility within a spirit of trust, plus the company culture and the working environment are second to none.”
This sentiment was echoed by each of the women interviewed in similar fashion. The four, all very independent women, will each tell you they cannot imagine going anywhere else as the company support, individual growth opportunities, and interpersonal relationships are beyond reproach. Vicki Hall added: “We are each sincerely valued for who we are and not just what we contribute. I truly look forward to going to work every day as there is always a new experience and something to learn. We are all encouraged to take advantage of learning opportunities (both personal and professional) which the company supports in every way.”
Added Lisa Baynes; “When we formed the company 10 years ago, we had to make some tough decisions given the economy and the diversity of the three companies. That first year was extremely difficult, but my input, involvement and recommendations were greatly welcomed and graciously received. I don’t want to ever go back there again, but it was an experience that made a lasting impression and one that I will never forget.”
The cross-trained staff offers services both collectively and one-on-one in direct support of the agents’ clients and customers. A few of the services include virtual and personal full marketing and listing support, in-depth contract review, drafting assistance and processing, relocation, licensing and MLS support, in-house real estate school offering CE credit and extensive group and individual sales and program training.
A quote from Rhonda Spence, their Virtual Assistant says it all. “We work extremely hard to provide the agents full support wherever and whenever needed that allows them to focus and concentrate their efforts on continuing to provide exceptional service to their clients and customers.”
