My business: Serving Georgia’s Lake Country for nearly a decade as a licensed real estate agent has afforded me the opportunity to help hundreds of people achieve their real estate goals. I am very intentional about taking on clients and primarily work on a referral basis, keeping my book of business all about quality over quantity. I specialize in lakefront properties and properties within Lake Oconee’s gated communities. My time is split almost evenly between representing buyers and sellers; which gives me insight for each side of a transaction, and I think helps me better counsel my clients. If I had to pick which side of a transaction I preferred to be on I couldn’t, I love them both!
My mission: My mission is to provide a personalized home buying or selling experience that caters to each individual client and does not end at the closing table. Being a Realtor is a lot like being a matchmaker. I get to know my clients on a personal level so I can be their advocate searching for the perfect property to suit their needs or to find the perfect buyer for my seller client’s property. To me selling real estate is more than just my job. It is truly my passion and I think that comes across in each of the relationships I form with my clients. My motto is “Life’s Good on Lake Oconee” and my mission is to show people why I love calling Lake Oconee ‘Home Sweet Home’.
My strengths: There are a lot of local real estate agents in this area and we all have our various strengths and talents. I would say a strength I can identify for myself is that I am efficient, well versed in the area and market and I know the lake like the back of my hand. I stay focused on each individual transaction to get my clients to the closing table with as little stress as possible. Juggling multiple transactions and all the details and timelines is something I have carefully fine-tuned over the years.
Lessons you learned from the pandemic: Being flexible and able to pivot is so important. Instead of dwelling on how hard each day was with the never ending to-do lists I just focused on one thing at a time. It was easy to go down the rabbit hole of worry but thankfully between homeschooling my two small children (that quickly turned into my real estate assistants/sidekicks) and selling 22 properties in the months they were home from school with me, we were too busy to focus on anything else!
What are your proudest moments: I was voted The Lake Country’s Best Realtor for the last three years in a row, am a Lifetime Member of the Lake Country Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club and have received several annual awards and recognition through Coldwell Banker International… but honestly the numbers and accolades are not what keep me going, My main motivation is seeing the excitement in my clients’ faces when they walk in the front door and realize that house is “the one”… or when they sign the papers to sell a property that will help them move on to their next chapter. It is those celebrations that I hold as some of my best memories and most proud moments. On a personal level, my greatest achievements are my two children. I am so thankful that my career has allowed me to keep them as my top priority and I think it is great for them to see their mom work so hard and achieve goals so they (or at least one of them I hope!) will follow in my footsteps.
